SOFT TOYS SHARED WITH STATE PROSECUTOR RONEL DE JAGER
We donated soft toys and Weetbix to Mrs Linda Louw who is working with SP Ronel de Jager. State Prosecutor de Jager works with children who are mistreated/raped/sexually harassed and emotionally disturbed.
KHAYAMANDI OUTREACH
A lady from Khayamandi also received Weetbix from us. She distributed it to other families in Khayamandi.
PAARL OUTREACH
The children in Paarl were excited to have a cereal that they have never tasted before.
WEETBIX TO BITTERFONTEIN
Our Weetbix donations went as far as Bitterfontein where farmers, because of COVID-19 and the drought, could not feed their families.
VALENTINE’S DAY: HERNES KRIEL OLD AGE HOME AND BOTHASIG LHL
Donations we received for Valentine’s day, we shared with various old age homes and other NPO’s.
PROJECT: UITSIG
This is once again our weekly project in Uitsig. Thank you Cllr Johanna for caring.
PROJECT: RAVENSMEAD
Ravensmead is a new area that we started a feeding scheme late last year. We are so blessed with Cllrs who care.
PROJECT: TOUWSRIVER
Touwsriver is one of the small towns that are now really suffering because of the drought and COVID-19. We immediately offered to donate Weetbix to a primary school in Touwsriver. A Courier transported it free of charge to them.
MEALS ON WHEELS
Our staff and volunteers are doing an amazing job. They deliver cooked meals to our homebound seniors on a weekly basis.
MONTAGUE GARDENS
A lady phoned us requesting help in Montague Gardens. We gladly shared Weetbix with them.
LEONSDALE WEETBIX DRIVE
We had a Weetbix drive in Leonsdale. The kids and parents were extremely happy to receive this breakfast cereal that some of them have never tasted.
DRIFTSAND: CENTRE OF HUMANITY.
The Centre of Humanity Organization contacted us for a donation to help them feed many elderly. We had boxes of Weetbix and gladly shared them with them.
PROJECT: UITSIG
Uitsig is one of our projects where we help on a weekly basis. The Cllr is always happy with our donations.
WEETBIX TO SUNSHINE CRÈCHE:
This little creche came to our attention via a lady who works in the Bothasig area. These kids’ parents cannot afford creche fees but the lady continued to allow the parents to bring their kids. We thought by donating some Weetbix to them will be a good gesture and help the lady financially.
LEONSDALE PROJECT
Once again we helped Cllr Walker with sandwiches for Leonsdale. The kids were very excited.
WEETBIX DONATION TO A FARM IN KUILSRIVER AND PAARL
When we heard of a lady who cooked for a farm in Kuilsriver and in Paarl, we offered to help. We were very fortunate to donate Weetbix so that she can feed the kids and elderly at breakfast time too.
COLLECTIONS
Our elderly are so willing to help us do collections at different shops. Here Corrie Swart is sitting at Spar Glenwood to help with fundraising.
WEETBIX DONATED TO PROTEA OLD AGE HOME
The elderly from an old age home in our area were so overwhelmed when we donated Weetbix to them.
WEETBIX DONATED TO JABULANI OLD AGE HOME
Once again senior citizens requested help for food parcels, specifically for breakfast food. We were fortunate to donate Weetbix to them.
MEALS PREPARED BY VOLUNTEERS FOR RUYTERWACHT
An advocate, Lara Joubert got involved with us last year during COVID-19. We now donate vegetables and meat to her to cook for a group of seniors in Ruyterwacht.
