20 Seniors of the Tygerberg Service Centre for the Aged took part in a “talent –hunt” which was organised by management. There was great applause when three of the staff and a volunteer also performed.
Active participation in programmes contribute to the retaining of seniors’ self-esteem and is also conducive to them operating in a proper fashion in their environment.
We did it again!! We generated more funds than the previous year.
There were the usual money spinners like the white elephant table, the bargain table, tasty chicken curry and tomato bredie, puddings, cakes and soup.
In the end it was the members working together like a well-oiled machine that again guaranteed our success.

33 Seniors were taken, first on a shopping expedition to small shops in Northumberland Street in Bellville and then they had the opportunity to have a delicious brunch. Everyone went home tired, replete and happy.

Knitting dolls for children is a small gesture that makes a big difference. Our members really enjoyed this project and will keep praying for every child that receives one of the dolls we knitted.
We took 39 of our members on a scenic drive which ended with breakfast at The Palms in Brackenfell. Thanks to the staff for the warm reception and everyone who made this outing possible!
